I was in the office at 0-dark-thirty this morning to administer an employment test to a candidate. It’s not much fun. Did two interviews today as well, which was illuminating, as the personalities vying for the same position were starkly different in both style and substance. But, that took a good chunk of the day. All of this was topped off with the usual numbers baloney, and there you have it…off I went to my favorite chore….grocery shopping. The 35 minute trip to the base commissary and the hour-plus I spent in the store, followed by the long trek home and then additional trips to the various other stops I needed to make just reminded me…yes, you know I’m going to say it…how much I enjoyed being on vacation. With any luck though, 168 hours from now, my favorite vacation companion will be joining me for a little vacation right here in my backyard. Not that I’m counting.
So, until my brain unfries, I’m outta here…catch you on the morrow when I will have picked up the kidlings from the airport and will be fully entrenched in my normal day-to-day existence.
Don't count the days- make the days count
