This weekend flew by. Of course, everyone says that, with the long weekend over and only the workaday world to look forward to come morning. That’s okay, this one will hold me for a while.
I had all of the things that make for a happy Hahn at Home this weekend. Checked in with my friends, had some water time and even kayaked (shout out to my co-worker CP for providing the idea for a great place to spend the day), hung out with the kidlings, spent time with someone I feel so incredibly safe with that I can hold them in my arms the entire night. I even got to see “Leonard Cohen – I’m Your Man,” at the Crest. I was sure that little film was going to pass Sacramento right by, as so many quirky little independent films seem to do. I’d give the weekend a “10.” And, though I have to go back to the grind tomorrow, I’ll carry the memories of this weekend with me for a long time.
One of the other cool things we did this weekend was visit the Sacramento Arts Council’s annual “Chalk it Up” event. Artists buy a sidewalk square and literally, chalk it up. We saw mostly finished product and it was, as usual, pretty cool. The kids always love it and this time we even had Em’s friend and her mom join us. It’s a good fundraiser for the Council and gives all of us a chance to enjoy some free art! I’m almost convinced by the kids to get a square ourselves next year—who knows what the future will bring?
Hope you all enjoyed your weekend and rock out this week!
