Good thing I took the day off. It’s been very busy. Mostly, work calling, but you know, catching up on the housekeeping and laundry and stuff. I was able to tell my boss we have had the single best month since, well, forever. I had our Corporate office check just to make sure a mistake hadn’t been made. We rock!
And, blessedly, the air conditioning guy showed up promptly at 8 am and cheerfully repaired the little bugger at last. The cool breeze is wafting over me, which helps with all the sweating I’m doing (see yesterday’s post). Today’s forecast, a mild 97 degrees.
Oh, and I got the mail a minute ago and within was a letter from the VA. Seems my Social Security number was among the millions on that computer that was stolen last month. They said, in essence, “Gee, sorry..and be careful.” Ironically, the IRS forwarded this letter to me…they wouldn’t let the VA have any addresses or other personal information. Even the IRS doesn’t trust the bastards. Great. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/12916803/
Happiness is a matter of one's most ordinary and everyday mode of consciousness being busy and lively and unconcerned with self.
