Guest Bloggers Heading Your Way Tomorrow

Yesterday, we had a little summer celebration in the office with ice cream, fixings, chips, beer, and soda.  We know how to party.  During the course of conversation, it was suggested that I take the trophy from my little company award, which arrived by UPS today, and put it in my office.  Somehow, it seems to have mysteriously ended up in the closet.

First off, it weighs about 350 pounds.  It’s ginormous.  It’s freakish looking. The little plaque with my name on it is already peeling off.   It would draw attention, and I don’t want to draw attention to my office or me.  See what happens if you try to have the wait staff sing “Happy Birthday” to me at a restaurant if you’d like a demonstration of just how much I don’t like attention drawn.

Our intern was kind enough to take a shot of it so you can feel my pain.

I took the afternoon off.  Had to go home and clean up the forest the puppy dragged in through the dog door.  The old tree out back is dropping foliage, which is irresistible to Gina.  I had twigs, leaves, and mini-logs strewn throughout the house.  She has also learned that most of the doors don’t latch properly and if she hurtles her body against one, she can gain access to anyplace she wants.  I pulled out the lawn rake to clean it up--worked great.

Have to go start ticking off the 57,600 seconds remaining until my weekend starts.

Get excited!  Give it up for my guest bloggers, appearing on Hahn at Home for the first time!  Over the next four days, four incredibly talented writers will share their own mental meanderings.  Each has a unique voice and I think you’ll enjoy.
