One of the things I love about three day work weeks is that, well, there are only three of them. I spent all day yesterday thinking it was Monday, and so it was so psycho-rific to find out it was Humpday instead. I condensed a normal week’s worth of work into 12 hours this past two days. I think it best not to let anyone know that can be done, huh?
I was heartened to hear that the words “unibrow,” “Google,” and “drama queen” have made it into the dictionary as official words. We all have a drama queen in our lives—or as the child known as Joe mocks the child known as Ben when said child Ben is being a DQ, “Oh-my-God…I-broke-a-nail.”
Speaking of Google, and I guess I was, kinda…”Lori Hahn” of Hahn at Home is, at least for today, the number one “Lori Hahn” on the Dogpile, Google, Yahoo, Lycos, Hot Bot and MSN search engines. I don’t know quite how that works, but I went from being on page 3 of each “Lori Hahn” query to the number one spot sometime yesterday. I’ll be signing autographs in the lobby later. I’m sure the other 50 Lori Hahns, including the one with a college project first webpage that had only a picture posted on it and that hasn’t been updated since 2002 who was way ahead of me until today, will be gunning for me. It’s a dog-eat-dog world in the web page biz. Tell your friends to visit my page, if only to let me play out my entire 15 minutes of fame.
I got a call from my bank today about suspicious activity on my account. This is the first time they’ve ever called me. What amused me is that none of the fifty “abnormal pattern” charges from my long weekend out of town were in question, just the $2.95 charge I incurred today when I printed an old newspaper article on-line. I did try to mention to them that my entire life is a little “abnormal,” so not to sweat it when these things come up.
Off to sushi with one of my pals….a little uni does a girl good.
